Cultural Supervision at Papa Toa

At Papa Toa – He Puna Waiora, we recognise the importance of cultural supervision in ensuring culturally safe, responsive, and values-led practice. Our cultural supervision services provide a safe and supportive environment for practitioners to reflect on their work, address cultural dilemmas, and strengthen their cultural competence.

Our supervision is grounded in our He Kawa Ora Healing Framework, a culturally informed approach that supports deep reflection, wellbeing, accountability, and growth. This framework guides our supervision conversations and provides practical tools that practitioners can apply directly within their mahi.

Our experienced cultural supervisors will guide you in exploring the cultural nuances of your work, examining power dynamics, and developing strategies to enhance your practice. Through cultural supervision at Papa Toa, you will deepen your understanding of te Ao Māori and learn how to confidently apply kaupapa Māori principles within your professional context.

We support the development of cultural humility, critical reflection, and ethical decision making, empowering you to provide high quality services that honour the cultural identities and lived realities of the individuals and communities you serve.

Let us walk alongside you on this journey of cultural growth and professional development.
